Rinnegan

The Rinnegan (Literally meaning: Saṃsāra Eye) is reputed as the most exalted eyes amongst the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu, Literally meaning: Three Great Eye Techniques), the others being the Byakugan and the Sharingan. Rinnegan wielders are said to be sent down from the heavens to become either a "God of Creation" who will calm the world's disorder or a "Destroyer" who will reduce everything to nothingness. Rinnegan are characterised by light purple sclerae and irides with a ripple-pattern that spreads over the eyeball.

The Rinnegan grants the wielder a wide range of abilities without any known chakra requirements to keep the eyes active. Certain abilities are only available to the original owner of the Rinnegan, but the possession of even a single transplanted Rinnegan can grant overwhelming power. Rinnegan are able to see chakra, its flow and tenketsu within the body but cannot detect it through obstructions such as smoke bomb. With the Rinnegan, the wielder can master any jutsu as well as all five nature transformations with ease. A Rinnegan user is able to create chakra receivers, into which they can transmit their chakra across long distances. The Rinnegan can also fully decipher the contents of Hagoromo's stone monument. Possessing the Rinnegan grants the user a family of abilities collectively known as the Six Paths Techniques: the gravitational powers of the Deva Path; the menagerie of summons available to the Animal Path; the limitless absorptive potential of the Preta Path; the control over others' souls with the Human Path; the different options of mechanisation of the Asura Path; access to the King of Hell through the Naraka Path. Nagato distributed one of these abilities to each of his Six Paths of Pain — six corpses embedded with chakra receivers. A seventh ability, the Outer Path, is said to allow the user to preside over life and death so that they may revive the dead, summon and control the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, and manifest chakra chains to bind others. Certain Rinnegan abilities have only been demonstrated by single users: Madara can perform Limbo: Border Jail to create corporeal shadows which are only visible to the Rinnegan; Sasuke's Rinnegan allows him to shift spaces within a certain range of himself.

Mitsuki

Mitsuki (Mitsuki) is a Konohagakure shinobi who originated from an unknown village. He is also the team-mate of Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha. Born in an unspecified village, Mitsuki, under unknown circumstances, left his village and enrolled into the Konoha Academy, thereby becoming an Academy student. Mitsuki has a very calm and a matter-of-fact demeanour. While not confrontational, he freely speaks his mind in any situation. He is also shown to have a sharp wit, being well-read and observant. Mitsuki has tousled white-blue hair, thin eyebrows, amber-coloured eyes, and a pale complexion.

His attire consists of a loose-fitting two-toned light and dark blue kimono jacket with billowing sleeves, tied by a thick khaki-grey Ono-stylised belt, and a pair of navy pants. In addition to his outfit, he wears black long fingerless gloves and black calf-length shinobi sandals. Mitsuki also wears his Konoha forehead protector around his forehead. Upon hearing that he and the rest of the class will be going through graduation exams in a week, Mitsuki eagerly said to Boruto that the day has finally arrived, to which Boruto agreed, claiming it would be a piece of cake. He later ran into Chōchō and Sarada at a restaurant and had a little chat with the girls, noting that questioning their identity and self-worth is common for girls their age and is commonly referred to as their "tragic heroine syndrome". Mitsuki was also able to determine from which clan Chōchō hails, not only from seeing her family crest but based on her appearance as well. Later, Mitsuki joined Boruto in a simple errand of deliver lunch to the Hokage from his wife for the trip. After arriving too late, Sarada and Chōchō offered to leave the village and bring it to him. While Boruto felt it pointless, he soon saw the strong desire in Sarada's eyes. Mitsuki, also realising this was important to the young Uchiha, asked Chōchō to give them a minute, who wondered if this was a love confession from the boy. Mitsuki simply replied that her symptoms were getting worse and that she needed professional help.

Sage Mode

Sage Mode is an empowered state that can be entered by blending natural energy with one's chakra, creating senjutsu chakra. Sage Mode allows users to tap into the natural force of the world, opening up new techniques to them and allowing them to power up existing ones with the new senjutsu chakra. The user's physical strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, perception, and durability are enhanced. The user's ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu become more powerful. The user can manipulate the natural energy that surrounds them, turning it into an extension of their body to increase the reach of their attacks. The user can sense chakra around them and can sense attacks without the need to see them.

The Six Paths Sage Mode (Rikudō Sennin Mōdo) is a heightened state of Sage Mode, which drastically empowers the user's abilities to a far greater extent by utilising the Six Paths Sage Chakra. Naruto's Six Path Sage Mode is virtually indistinguishable from his base form, the only difference is that his eyes became yellow with his pupils taking on a cross-like shape traits of his combination of Sage Mode and Kurama Mode, without manifesting the orange pigmentation around his eyes. When he draws on the power of the tailed beasts, he dons a chakra cloak that appears similar to his Sage Tailed Beast Mode. The chakra forms into a light-coloured coat with a dark-coloured "bodysuit" underneath that covers his torso, reaches down his arms to the knuckles, and down his legs, stopping just above his sandals which also change colour. It also has a light-coloured circle where his seal was placed, as well as golden magatama markings around his collar. The coat has the typical markings of the Six Paths Senjutsu: a Rinnegan above nine magatama, on its back. In addition, his skin does not glow like his previous transformations.

Multiple Shadow Clone Technique

This technique is essentially a massive version of the Shadow Clone Technique. Instead of a few clones, it creates a few hundred clones (or a number of equal grandeur). This is considered a kinjutsu, because it can potentially be dangerous to the person performing it, seeing as how all of the clones are given an equal amount of chakra directly from the user.

Naruto learned the technique from the scroll of forbidden seals. Few people are able to use this technique effectively, due to the large amount of chakra it consumes. However, this weakness is not an issue to Naruto, due to his massive chakra reserves. Having such reserves allows him to create hundreds of clones while maintaining a decent supply of chakra in each one. This technique is also used by Naruto to train quickly, since all the clones share their experiences with Naruto, but it causes extreme fatigue with repeated use. Naruto is shown to use this technique on multiple occasions to form human chains, for both offensive and supplementary reasons.

Wood Release Secret Technique: Nativity of a World of Trees

A technique developed by Hashirama Senju, where the user forces trees to grow on any surface, easily creating a dense forest anywhere they choose. A small plant can grow into a forest in an instant.

By generating chakra, the user manoeuvres it as they see fit for attack and defence; and furthermore, this omnipotent technique even allows them to capture the enemy at the same time. With their tremendous life force, the trees can pierce through earthen walls, and extend their branches at their prey in an instant. Even stating that Konohagakure wouldn't have been established without this technique wouldn't be an exaggeration.

God: Nativity of a World of Trees

After the Infinite Tsukuyomi is activated, the user manipulates the roots of the Shinju, spreading them around the entire world to encase those caught within the genjutsu. By ensnaring all living beings and connecting them to the tree, similar to cocoons, this will keep their now-slumbering bodies alive for all of eternity.

At the same time, this assimilates every victim to the Shinju, regathering the chakra into one location, in order to sprout a new fruit. The chakra can also be collectively used by the user of this technique, as proven when Madara Uchiha's body began to rapidly absorb the chakra of everyone connected to the tree during his transformation into Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. According to Black Zetsu, over an unspecified amount of time, those ensnared by this technique will be converted into White Zetsu. According to Minato Namikaze, simply cutting the victims loose neither wake them up, nor free them from the tree, as another branch will simply form and imprison them once again. Once the Infinite Tsukuyomi is cancelled, the branches, along with any preexisting White Zetsu, wither away and the entrapped people would be freed, assuming they have not already been converted to White Zetsu.

Infinite Tsukuyomi

The Infinite Tsukuyomi (Mugen Tsukuyomi) is a technique which is the key to the Eye of the Moon Plan. The user creates an empty dimension under their control, which can then be filled with the contents of their desire, using the power of the Ten-Tails to do so. While physically tethered and connected to the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, Madara was able to cast a similar genjutsu, albeit on a smaller scale, using only a standard Sharingan. After doing so, Madara could manipulate the otherwise blank and white world to create anything he wanted, no matter how detailed. To trap every living being in the world within this genjutsu, however, Kaguya's Rinne Sharingan must be reflected off of the moon's surface. In order to do this, with the exception of Kaguya who ate the Shinju's chakra fruit, one must first become the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki. The genjutsu can be cast using the eye that blooms at the top of the Ten-Tails' tree form or the third eye which opens on the jinchūriki's forehead.

Kaguya combined her powers of the Rinne Sharingan and Byakugan to enslave the populace. This technique can also be reflected off the moon, upon the technique's activation, the light from the moon's eye illuminates the entire planet, turning it bright as day and making it impossible to escape. All living things are bathed in its penetrating light and immediately placed under the genjutsu. This causes a reflection of the Rinnegan to appear in their eyes as they are rendered immobile, though their cognitive abilities remain unimpaired. The user can then use the God: Nativity of a World of Trees technique to ensnare the targets, assimilating their life force with that of the Shinju. Once this is done, the person is locked in a permanent genjutsu, in which they experience a dream world based on their individual desires, yet will live forever due to the tree's power, during which the victims are siphoned of their chakra. Once complete, those tethered to the Shinju will become drained of everything they once were and reduced to a shell of their former selves, ultimately becoming White Zetsu — ideal soldiers for Kaguya. Despite the seemingly inescapable nature of this technique, the Infinite Tsukuyomi can be countered through specific means: The user's Rinne Sharingan only reflects off of the moon for a limited period of time after the technique has been activated, allowing those who avoid its light to avoid being trapped within the genjutsu. Using his Rinnegan, Sasuke Uchiha was able to shield himself and his team by covering them with his Susanoo. Believing that this genjutsu was cast using a Rinnegan, Sasuke hypothesised that it can be cancelled by another Rinnegan. Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki confirmed this, but revealed that the chakra of the nine tailed beasts is also required, and that a person with said chakra and a Rinnegan user must form the rat hand seal together, though Sasuke claimed he would be able to cancel the technique alone using the tailed beasts under his control. Upon the technique's cancellation, the roots used to bind the victims wither, as do all remaining White Zetsu.

Sharingan Spying Creature

This mysterious creature belonged to Shin Uchiha. It had four small limbs and what appeared to be a tail, an askew mouth and a nose. Its single eye featured a fully matured Sharingan. The creature was very stealthy, able to spy at the gate of Konohagakure without being detected. Its vision was linked to Shin Uchiha and his son's, enabling them to notice the movements of their targets. The creature could also act as a verbal communication medium, seen as Shin received orders from his father through it. By taking on the form of Shin's Mangekyō Sharingan, the creature could use a type of space–time ninjutsu, although it is unknown if it possessed this ability itself or if it acted once again as a medium.

The creature was used by Shin Uchiha to notice the departure of Sarada Uchiha from Konohagakure. Upon seeing the vision, one of Shin's clones was ordered to capture Sasuke Uchiha's daughter. A bit later, after the clone clashed with Sarada, Chōchō Akimichi and Naruto, Shin ordered him to withdraw through the creature. Shin's clone and the creature then flew by using space-time ninjutsu.[2] Later, when its master was ready to begin another attack, the creatures teleported him and six copies of Shin to Naruto and Sarada. When the Shin clones betrayed their father, Shin attempted to kidnap Sarada and Chōchō for hostage purposes, ordering the creature to take them. However, Sarada caught sight and punched the creature in the eye, killing it.

Shin Uchiha's Space–Time Dōjutsu

With his Sharingan, Shin has access to a unique space–time ninjutsu. Being drawn inwards to a spiralling void focused on his right eye, Shin is instantaneously transported to virtually any location of his choosing.

This is done by generating a spatial barrier, that warps anyone and anything within its confines. It can even effect chakra-based substances. To fit the situation, the spatial barrier's size and shape can be manipulated at will. Shin is also able to channel the usage of this technique through his Sharingan Spying Creature. Doing so allows Shin to plan for a strategic retreat should the need arise. After being temporarily incapacitated by Sakura's sneak-attack during his battle with Sasuke and Naruto, the creature was able to rescue its master while kidnapping the former before any of the latter could react.

Manipulated Shuriken Technique

With this technique a translucent string, both elastic and highly durable, is attached to a shuriken, making it possible to alter its path after having thrown it.

An expert will have the ability to freely glide the shuriken in any direction with just a single movement of their fingertip. The first attack, challenging the enemy, is avoided and after a time-lag of several seconds, it will come from behind. Depending on the performance, the possible tactics can be infinite.

Manipulating Windmill Triple Blades

The user first attaches strings beforehand onto the tossed shuriken and kunai thrown after it, then one shuriken is pulled back using a tree as an axis, based on the yo-yo's principle. The other shuriken and kunai are decoys, and the true attack is the shuriken that is pulled back using the force of the thrown kunai.

The trick in making this technique successful is to somehow be able to read the enemy's movements, which normally would require the Sharingan. When using this technique against Orochimaru, Sasuke infused the kunai he threw with what appeared to be chakra. When fighting against a disguised Orochimaru, Sasuke combined this technique with the Dragon Fire Technique, sending the fire down a metal string in order to burn his opponent.

Lightning Transmission

Using the aid of a clone, the two Kakashi each perform the Lightning Cutter technique on opposite hands. Connecting their techniques together, they form a chain of lightning between themselves that is able to slice through objects such as tailed beasts' chakra arms with great ease.

Kakashi was also able to wrap the lightning around a target, thus effectively restraining its movements, as shown against the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. Raiden means thunder and lightning. With the "-sama" suffix added, Raiden is another name for the Shintō god of lightning, Raijin.

Izanami

Izanami is one of the ultimate dōjutsu of the Uchiha clan. It is a genjutsu which affects the target through physical sensations shared between them and the user, instead of affecting the chakra steams of the opponent to perform the illusion. Like its counterpart, in exchange for the temporary ability that it grants the user, the Sharingan with which Izanami is cast is rendered blind and loses its light forever. According to Itachi, this technique and Izanagi form a pair, but unlike the latter, which is a technique capable of altering destiny, Izanami is instead one that decides it. Whilst under the effects of the technique, the target stands motionlessly as the loop of events continually replays inside their mind. Each time a loop is repeated, any physical damage incurred is reset as it were before the start of the loop, although the remains of severed appendages do not disappear. The illusion of the user and anyone they were fighting alongside also have any damage reset as well such as the blindness that comes with Izanami. Despite being able to become consciously aware of their situation and act differently, the victim is unable to significantly alter or escape from the inevitable progression of these events as the illusions they're fighting will also quickly adapt to their changes in order to force the victim to experience the memorised sensations.

However, because this technique was created to reprimand and save the users of Izanagi, the victim is able to escape the infinite loop if they can acknowledge the real results of their actions and in doing so, accept their fate. In the anime, it's shown that there is no other way to undo this technique even by someone who has complete control over their chakra. The illusion of the caster also seems to be sentient as the illusionary Itachi was shown to be shaking his head when Kabuto futilely tried to undo the technique without accepting his fate first. The illusion of the user and anyone they're fighting alongside also repeats their verbal actions such as the illusionary Itachi telling the Illusionary Sasuke not to leave his side, an action Itachi did to Sasuke. The illusion of the user will continuously tell the victim to take a closer look at them and knowledge their mistakes until they do so. According to Itachi, there was a point in time where members of the clan abused the abilities granted by Izanagi, instead simply casting the technique as a means of escaping the undesirable results of their actions. Whilst this resulted in little issue if only one person were using Izanagi, if there were two or more casters, they would begin to fight amongst each other over personally favourable outcomes. Thus, as dōjutsu users were unlikely to succumb to ocular genjutsu, Izanami was created as a method to reprimand such clansmen, as well as save them from their own arrogance. By imprisoning them within an unalterable loop of events, the victim was forced to accept the reality they had created if they ever wished to escape the illusion. However, because of the dangers involved in using a technique with a way out in a real battle, Izanami became classed as a kinjutsu. Like the various techniques used with the Sharingan, this technique is named after a Shintō goddess. In this case, it is Izanami, who, together with her brother and husband Izanagi, created the islands and other deities of Japan. One of the most famous stories about Izanami tells the tale of how Izanagi goes into Yomi, the Japanese underworld, to retrieve her after she died giving birth to the Shintō fire god, Kagutsuchi. In Yomi, he manages to get Izanami and they both try to leave, however, Izanagi was not supposed to look at her before they escape. Right before they reach the exit, Izanagi looks back and sees her in a decayed form. Frightened, Izanagi flees from Yomi and blocks the cave. Izanami curses Izanagi saying that she will kill 1000 people per day. In response, Izanagi says that 1500 people will be born each day. In another variation of the story, it is stated that Izanami told Izanagi to leave, however, he came back while she slept and lit a fire that revealed her decayed form, prompting him to escape out of fright, and barricade her inside with a giant boulder. After his failed attempt to get Izanami, Izanagi washed himself in a stream. As he cleaned his left eye, Amaterasu was born, as he cleaned his right eye, Tsukuyomi was born, and as he cleaned his nose, Susanoo was born.

Izanagi

Izanagi is a genjutsu that is cast on the user instead of others and is the most powerful amongst this type of genjutsu. When activated, the caster removes the boundaries between reality and illusion within their personal space. To a degree this allows the user to control their state of existence, but it is normally active for only the briefest of moments. At the same time, in the anime, a skilled enough user of this technique can expand Izanagi's range beyond one's personal reality, able to affect a whole swath of people during the technique's activation.

While the target remains physically real while fighting, this technique is capable of turning any occurrence including injuries and even death inflicted upon them, while the technique is active, into mere "illusions." Whenever the user receives a fatal injury, he or she automatically fades away as though they were an illusion all along and then returns back to reality; physically real and unscathed. The technique is based on an ability the Sage of the Six Paths had, referred to as "Creation of All Things" (Banbutsu Sōzō). The process he used is explained to have initially involved the administration of imagination, and the spiritual energy which forms the basis of Yin chakra to create shape and form from nothingness. Then, through the application of vitality, and the physical energy which forms the basis of Yang chakra, he would breathe life into the prior form. Thus, a technique with the power to turn imagination into reality was born, known as Izanagi. Izanagi can be used only by those with the genetic traits of the Sage of the Six Paths. The Uchiha, descended from the Sage, are able to perform Izanagi with their Sharingan. Even with such an eye acting as a medium, gaining the power to briefly control reality's flow as the user sees fit comes at a price; one has very limited reserves of time within a single eye for invoking this technique. This technique would normally be used for only the most dire of situations as after the Sharingan with which Izanagi was casted exceeds its limit, the said eye becomes powerless and is rendered blind permanently, with the rare exception that its sight and power can be restored to the said eye by further evolving it into a Rinnegan. For this reason the Uchiha labelled it a kinjutsu. Danzō Shimura, in an effort to make practical use of the technique, had ten Sharingan embedded into his right arm. To use Izanagi to its full potential, users must also have the genetic traits of the Senju, who are also descended from the Sage. Partially for this reason Danzō had some of Hashirama Senju's DNA transplanted into his arm, which extended the time span of each Sharingan's Izanagi to a minute, allowing him to use the technique for up to ten minutes in total, with breaks in between as he deemed necessary. However, because Danzō is not an Uchiha, his chakra levels drop substantially every time a new Sharingan is used to activate the technique. Obito also makes use of Hashirama's DNA but, in contrast to Danzō, he claims to have gained control over Hashirama's DNA and as such, boasts the completed form of Izanagi. Although, there is evidence to this claim, such as the fact he was able to perform it with hand seals with only one hand or no hand seals at all. As with many Sharingan-based techniques, the Izanagi can be implanted into one's Sharingan to trigger the technique even after the user has already died; Madara demonstrated such usage after his actual death, as opposed to merely negating a mortal wound.

Genjutsu: Sharingan

This is simply the generic use of genjutsu as employed by Sharingan wielders. By establishing direct eye contact with the intended opponents, the user can lock them within a genjutsu of their choosing in order to achieve various effects. These effects range from inducing instantaneous, but temporary, unconsciousness in an opponent to forcefully extract any valuable information that they possess controlling their actions or to show memories.

Using his Sharingan, Sasuke stares at his opponent directly in the eyes and they stare back. Then a shadowy figure of himself appears before them forcing them under a genjutsu. An image resembling his Susanoo appears in front of the opponent and grasps them as it begins "assimilating" them into itself. This breaks the opponent's will. Afterwards, the opponent is left incapacitated. Itachi is seen using an illusion that traps the victim in a dark empty space where their body is made of paper that burns from toe to head while the user is watching. The genjutsu will make it harder for the target to move properly. It bears a great resemblance to his Tsukuyomi, though it is used with the regular Sharingan. Obito's Sharingan was able to directly control both tailed beasts and jinchūriki, with his eye power being compared to Kotoamatsukami by Mei Terumī and Ao. Kakashi could use the Sharingan to hypnotise the target, making them make seals at the same time as he did, thus giving the illusion he could see into the future. He was also able to put multiple people to sleep with a single glance with his Sharingan, even shinobi of Anbu calibre. Shisui was able to render people unconscious with a single glance from long distance with his Sharingan. Madara's usage could control the tailed beasts like Kurama, or paralyse a shinobi with a single glance.

Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Technique

Firstly, this technique requires the use of the Genjutsu: Sharingan. The opponent is caught in the illusionary world created by the user, and the victim is tormented with the sensation of having spikes driven through their limbs, taking away their body's freedom.

At the same time, the physical pain accompanying the illusion reveals that the greatest use this technique has is torture. As seen when Itachi used it on Orochimaru, it has been proven that one of genjutsu mastery may use the genjutsu even without eye contact. Orochimaru described this technique as a type of Temporary Paralysis Genjutsu (Kanashibari no Genjutsu).

Coercion Sharingan

With a single glance of the Sharingan, this technique forces a nightmarish genjutsu on the victim, overpowering them and bringing them to their knees.

Even the usually emotionless Sai was deeply affected by this genjutsu.

Demonic Illusion: Mirror Heaven and Earth Change

The user decrypts a genjutsu that has been applied onto them, and casts back a technique with identical effects onto the opponent.

It's a form of illusion reversal, but in order to instantly read through a technique and cast it in return, the Sharingan's power is necessary. As a genjutsu is initially used to confuse the enemy, this technique, which sends it right back to its caster, deals a high amount of mental damage, more than anything else.

Sharingan

The Sharingan (Literally meaning: Copy Wheel Eye, Meaning (Viz): Mirror Wheel Eye) is the dōjutsu kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan that appears selectively among its members. It is regarded as one of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu, Literally meaning: Three Great Eye Techniques), the others being the Byakugan and the Rinnegan. When an Uchiha experiences a powerful emotional condition with regards to a person precious to them, their brain releases a special form of chakra that affects the optic nerves, transforming the eyes into Sharingan; for that reason the Sharingan is described as an "eye that reflects the heart" (Kokoro o utsusu hitomi). Often, as per the Uchiha's so-called "Curse of Hatred", this emotion is a negative one, brought on by stress or loss. The emotion can also be positive, driven by a desire to protect or reunite with a loved one. Assuming that the user is aware they have awakened the Sharingan, they are thereafter able to freely use it. When first awakened each Sharingan usually will have only one tomoe, although in Obito Uchiha's case, he immediately gained two tomoe in each of his eyes. Through training and continued use the Sharingan will develop a second tomoe and then, upon full maturation, a third. All the Sharingan's abilities are available to the user from its earliest stage, but with greater development comes greater proficiency with those abilities. As with any dōjutsu, Sharingan can be transplanted into non-Uchiha. They are unable to deactivate it and its use has a greater chakra demand for them than for actual Uchiha, who need only minimal chakra to keep it active. For these reasons, non-Uchiha tend to cover their Sharingan when they aren't using it in order to conserve chakra. Sharingan that originate from the same Uchiha are still linked to some extent even when wielded by separate users, at times enabling those users to see the same things.

The Sharingan grants the wielder two broad abilities: the "Eye of Insight" (Dōsatsugan) and the "Eye of Hypnotism" (Saimingan). Although the abilities are not literally restricted to certain eyes, Madara Uchiha notes that two Sharingan are required in order to be utilised to their fullest potential. Even within these two categories there may exist several distinct though similar abilities: "Eye of Insight" The user can see chakra, giving it colour in order to distinguish it by its composition and source. Though not as capable in this regard as the Byakugan, it can see chakra through some (but not all) obstructions and detect irregularities in a person's chakra flow, such as those caused by genjutsu influence. The user is granted incredible clarity of perception, enabling them to read lips or mimic something like pencil movements. In combat, this allows them to see fast-moving objects and, once fully developed, offers some amount of predictive capabilities: they can anticipate an opponent's next move based on the slightest muscle tension in their body and act accordingly to dodge or intercept. Although a Sharingan user can see these things, they also need the physical ability to actually act on the visual information. The user is able to copy almost any jutsu they see, memorising ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu with near-perfect accuracy. They can then either perform that jutsu or modify it to suit their needs, as when Sasuke Uchiha bases his Lion Combo on Rock Lee's Front Lotus. Again, Sharingan users need the requisite abilities before they can mimic a jutsu they have seen, and for that reason they cannot, for example, reproduce kekkei genkai abilities they do not have or nature transformations they haven't learned to perform. "Eye of Hypnotism" The user can perform what is generically called Genjutsu: Sharingan. While there are various manifestations and purposes of the ability, the better known one is to, through eye contact, suggest thoughts and actions to a target, coercing them to divulge information or act in a particular way, potentially without the target's awareness. In extreme cases, the Sharingan user can take complete control of the target's body, forcing them to do exactly as the controller wishes; this control is visually indicated by the Sharingan's design appearing in the target's eye. The Uchiha are particularly infamous for using this ability on the Nine-Tails, and in fact can enter its or another tailed beasts' jinchūriki's subconscious to more precisely control the beast's chakra. Multiple targets can be taken control of in this way, though the more divided the user's attention is, the easier it is for targets to escape this control. While not an ability per se, the Sharingan user can appear as if they are able to "see the future". First, the user must perfectly mimic every move their opponent makes and possibly their thoughts and words through careful observation. Then, they suggest an action to the opponent such as hand seals for a technique that the opponent and Sharingan user already know and copy that. With these things done, the user can complete the action even before the opponent does, possibly using the Sharingan's genjutsu to confuse or delay them. In addition to these abilities there are two actual jutsu that a Sharingan user can perform: Izanagi allows the user to warp reality for a short time, changing reality into illusion and illusion into reality, thus escaping death and rewriting destiny; Izanami traps the victim in an infinite loop disregarding the target's five senses, specifically designed as a reprimand for those who would abuse Izanagi. Use of either ability causes the Sharingan with which it is performed to be blinded afterwards, and for that reason the Uchiha classified them as kinjutsu.

Space–Time Ninjutsu

Space–Time Ninjutsu (Jikūkan Ninjutsu, English TV: Teleportation Ninjutsu or Transportation Techniques, Literally meaning: Space–Time Ninja Techniques) are techniques that allow the users to manipulate the space–time continuum.

By manipulating a specific point of space, the user can warp anything targeted into a dimensional void and teleport it to another location instantaneously. Minato Namikaze, Obito Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, Tobirama Senju and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki are skilled users of space–time ninjutsu. All summoning-based techniques are space–time manipulation related, as they warp the targets through a dimensional void to the summoner's location. Space–Time Ninjutsu allows one to bypass any Barrier Ninjutsu, as barriers only extend over the dimension they are placed upon, which cannot prevent Space–Time Ninjutsu users from escaping to the dimensional void and then back outside of the barrier's confines. It appears that each specific space-time technique has its own unique dimensional void that other techniques cannot normally access. However, a user can synchronise their respective dimension with the other one to gain access to it. To achieve this feat, however, requires much more chakra.

Asura Ōtsutsuki

Asura Ōtsutsuki (Ōtsutsuki Ashura) was the youngest son of Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki and heir to his teachings. He is also the ancestor of the Senju clan, as well as the Uzumaki clan. Asura believed that love was the ultimate key to peace, and loved his father greatly as well. Though the son of the famed Sage of the Six Paths, Asura was born with practically no talent, but because of this, he learned the value of depending on and cooperating with others.

Asura adored Indra he would constantly devote himself to studying, aiming to be like his older brother. Through sheer hard work and determination, he was able to awaken his own power. Because he never lost sight of the value in people, he would ultimately become the successor to his father's Ninshū as Hagoromo wanted the world to adopt this way of thinking. Asura had short, spiky brown hair — two locks of which were wrapped in bandages framing either side of his face in a similar manner to his brother, and also had stern facial features. He also wore what seemed to be a blank forehead protector and at a later time, bandages around his forehead. He wore a light-coloured kimono which was adorned with magatama around the collar. The kimono was held closed by a dark-coloured sash. Underneath all of this he wore a black full-body suit.

As a child, Asura was considered to be unskilled, much unlike his genius older brother, Indra. Over the years however, through gruelling hard work and dedication, plus support from his friends, Asura came to obtain might rivaling his brother's and proving himself a late bloomer. He also awakened his own inherit power, his father's "body": life force, stamina, and physical energy. This granted him a greater longevity and strong vitality, as well as massive chakra reserves. He also became a capable leader, obtaining countless loyal followers. It was because of Asura's philosophy that caused his father to bless him with his power and grant him succession of Ninshū. In battle, Asura was seen encased in a three-headed, six-armed avatar wielding several dark-coloured spheres. This avatar was capable of going head to head with Indra's Complete Body — Susanoo. He was also seen wielding a shakujō, as well as a sword on different occasions. Hagoromo noted that Asura's chakra remained even after his body was destroyed, and it was reincarnated in various individuals throughout history who all inherited his will as well as the chakra and powers his body once held. His prior reincarnation being Hashirama Senju. When Madara Uchiha, the reincarnation of Indra of Hashirama's time, his power hungry way has led him to forcefully obtain Hashirama's DNA and implant it into his own body, thus, a portion of Asura's chakra, and the two have resulted in Madara awakening the Rinnegan. When Hashirama and Madara died, the transmigration circle resumed, and Naruto Uzumaki became the current inheritor of Asura's will. Asura's ideals also allowed his father to realise a new possibility for the world, and with this he used the Creation of All Things to separate the Ten-Tails' chakra into nine tailed beasts, gave each of them names, in the hopes that when the time came, they would to be reunited as a single entity, yet not as they originally were, and that one shall appear at that time to show them what true power is. The beasts would come to believe this individual to be Naruto centuries later. According to Black Zetsu, the reincarnations of Indra and Asura are almost always in conflict with each other and rarely work together. Naruto and Sasuke are one of the exceptions, assuming other exceptions have existed throughout the centuries. Ultimately, it was Asura's latest reincarnation, Naruto Uzumaki who managed to do what all of his prior incarnations had failed to do: end the rift created by the two lines of the reincarnated brothers, which Naruto achieved by defeating Indra's successor, Sasuke Uchiha, in their final battle, finally bringing about the end of the bitter feud that had lasted for centuries.

Indra Ōtsutsuki‎

Indra Ōtsutsuki‎ (Ōtsutsuki Indora) was the elder son of Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki and the ancestor of the Uchiha clan. Indra was the first son of Hagoromo, inheriting his father's eyes: his dojūtsu powers (Sharingan), powerful chakra, and spiritual energy. From a young age, he demonstrated great talent towards ninshū and anything he applied his mind to. Because of his prowess, he led a solitary life — finding no need to depend on others. When Hagoromo was on his deathbed, he selected Indra's younger brother, Asura Ōtsutsuki, to carry on his dream of establishing peace throughout the world.

Angry and jealous that his father had not chosen him, Indra, being tempted by Black Zetsu, fought against Asura to claim what he believed should have been his birthright. Both brothers went to their graves constantly fighting over the title of ninshū's successor. His descendants, who would become the Uchiha clan, would continue this fight with his younger brother's descendants, the Senju clan never knowing how or why their hatred of each other came to be. Recognising his own talents, Indra became proud and independent, determined to walk his own path unaided. He believed that force and strength were the ultimate key to peace. Although he loved his father greatly, he later came to despise both him and Asura due to the former's decision, and Black Zetsu was able to take advantage of Indra's resentment towards his brother, making Indra challenge his father's decision to let his younger brother carry on his will. Despite his status as a lone wolf, Indra was apparently able to find a lover, having gained direct descendents.

Indra had long brown hair cut short on top, with two locks wrapped in bandages framing either side of his face. His eyebrows were cut short — a symbol of his nobility — and his eyes had blue markings around them, which were turned up at the corners. He wore a high-collared, light-coloured kimono held closed by a dark sash. Around the collar of the kimono was adorned with magatama under which he wore a black full-bodied suit. He was also depicted in full-body armour. He had allowed his hair to grow out flowing around his attire. From a young age, Indra was recognised as a prodigy, even in his legendary father's own perspective. In battle, he also wielded a sword, showing some expertise in kenjutsu. In addition to his skill in battle, Indra inherited his father's powerful chakra and spiritual energy. Indra possessed a derived form of his grandmother's dōjutsu; the Sharingan. He would also awaken its advanced form: the Mangekyō Sharingan, which is presumably the spiral-like pattern that originated from his pupils and covered his irides, which was shown when he debuted. With it, he became the first known wielder of Susanoo. Attaining mastery over the technique and its various developments, he became capable of fully manifesting and "stabilise" it into its Complete Body form, dwarfing the surrounding landscape. Hagoromo noted that Indra's chakra remained after his body was destroyed and it was reincarnated into various individuals through history. Madara Uchiha, the previous reincarnation, helped create the first ninja village with Asura's reincarnation, Hashirama Senju. However, Madara eventually adopted Indra's ideology, due to various occurrences and continuously sought more power. His growing ambition led him to covet, and eventually steal Hashirama's DNA, inadvertently gaining a portion of Asura's chakra and implanting it in himself. As a result of this, Madara awakened the Rinnegan. After Madara's death, Indra was reincarnated into Sasuke Uchiha. According to Black Zetsu, the reincarnations of Indra and Asura are almost always in conflict with each other and rarely work together. Naruto and Sasuke are one of the exceptions, assuming other exceptions have existed throughout the centuries. Ultimately, it was Asura's latest reincarnation, Naruto Uzumaki who managed to do what all of his prior incarnations had failed to do: end the rift created by the two lines of the reincarnated, which Naruto achieved by defeating Indra's successor, Sasuke Uchiha, in their final battle, finally bringing about the end of the bitter feud that had lasted for centuries.

Chocho Akimichi

Chocho Akimichi (Akimichi Chocho) is a kunoichi and a member of Konohagakure's Akimichi Clan. Like her father, Chōchō never turns down an invitation when it comes to food. This is evident when she skips her training with her fellow Ino–Shika–Chō members in favour of going to eat with her sensei Anko Mitarashi. Rather than feeling guilty for this, Chōchō displayed indifference to the consequences. In stark contrast to her father, who was always quick to rile when his weight was brought up, she was easily able to brush off being called fat.

Her weight, in fact, doesn't seem to bother her at all, due to fact it was already from her father's bloodline after all. Rather, Chōchō appears to be quite confident and self-assured about herself — a trait she perhaps inherited from her mother. A few years later, however, Chōchō started to become conscious about her weight and would actively try to lose a few pounds, only to fail upon seeing her father's excessive eating habits. This, coupled with her own mother having no problem with their weight, has humorously caused Chōchō to believe she is adopted. She seems to be somewhat self-centred as she thought many situations revolve around her, as she believed that Shin and Naruto only came for her and that she and Sarada were looking for her own father. Likewise, her dislike in her parents' nature has made her become impulsively convinced that any random adults she finds impressive are possibly her real parents.

Chōchō is dark-skinned with amber coloured eyes like her mother. She inherited her father's brown hair which she wears in two spiky ponytails, with the rest flowing into her back, and a bang at the front which covers her left eye. She wears a sleeveless red shirt with white pants in the epilogue. In Naruto Gaiden, she wears a white kimono with a net T-shirt under it, a pair of black arm warmers, and a pair of black long shinobi boots. Like all members of the Akimichi clan, she's chubby. Also as customary of her clan, both of her ears are pierced by grey stud earrings. As a member of the Akimichi clan and her generation's Ino—Shika—Chō, Chōchō has begun learning the various body-expanding techniques of her clan as well as collaboration techniques with Inojin and Shikadai. She is able to use Partial Multi-Size Technique to expand her hand during battle. She is also deceptively fast, and was able to slip behind an opponent before they could notice despite them possessing a dōjutsu.

Sakura Haruno

Sakura Haruno (Haruno Sakura) is a kunoichi of Konohagakure. She is appointed as a member of Team Kakashi, but quickly finds herself ill-prepared for the duties of a ninja and the complications of her team-mates' lives. By training under her master, Tsunade, she becomes a strong kunoichi and an excellent medical-nin, capable of facing the challenges of life as a ninja, as well as help and protect her friends and loved ones when they need her. Initially, Sakura's overall abilities as a ninja were considerably less than those of her team-mates. After her two-and-a-half years of training with Tsunade, she had greatly increased her skills enough to hold her own against powerful enemies, such as Sasori, and even prove instrumental in defeating him alongside Chiyo.

Sakura's refined abilities has caused others to see her as a younger version of Tsunade, or even someone who could surpass the latter. This was further demonstrated during the Fourth Shinobi World War, where she earned praise from Hashirama Senju, Shizune, and Naruto for being a possible equal to Tsunade. Years after the war, Sakura's abilities improved further as she was promoted to jōnin, and later defeated Shin Uchiha with a single blow, forcing him to retreat. At the start of the series, Sakura discovered that she had an excellent control over her chakra, and thus, an innate ability to use techniques to their maximum efficiency without wasting any chakra. Kakashi pointed out that her ability to gather chakra from every part of the body and then using it with great timing made her superior to her team-mates in that respect. Her control has been noted multiple times as very similar to Tsunade's prowess. Even Shizune, a fellow student of Tsunade's, admitted to Sakura's control being much greater than hers. While this particular ability was never put to great use in Part I, her chakra control became a focal point of Sakura's fighting style and medical abilities in Part II. In Part II of the anime, with her excellent chakra control, she was chosen in sealing the Three-Tails with the Four-Corner Sealing Barrier along with Shizune, Ino and Hinata. Due to these skills, Sakura has been noted to have a natural aptitude for genjutsu, though thus far she has only been seen dispelling it, even Kabuto's sleep-inducing genjutsu. In the anime before the Chūnin Exams, she could instantly recognise a genjutsu casted by a disguised Iruka trying to trick her into not participating in the exams, noting Sasuke would never ask her out, and only playing along to find out who casted the genjutsu. She could also decipher at the start of the Chūnin Exams that they were trapped in a surrounding-altering genjutsu. Two years after the Fourth Shinobi World War, she ultimately became so resistant to the effects of genjutsu that she was the only one in her team to be unaffected by Toneri Ōtsutsuki's genjutsu trap.

The pinnacle of Sakura's control was seen during the Fourth Shinobi World War; for over three years, she has stored up huge amounts of chakra on a point on her forehead, developing the Strength of a Hundred Seal and the ability to release it. In the anime, Sakura could even exceed the normal conditions of developing the seal, learning how to continue building up chakra while still channeling some of it into her normal reserves to not hinder her as much in battle or surgery. She was also able to use the Ninja Art Creation Rebirth — Strength of a Hundred Technique in battle after releasing the seal. Furthermore, Sakura has shown the ability to transfer the chakra directly from her seal into other individuals, leading to her Strength of a Hundred markings to spread over the recipient. The chakra stored inside Sakura's seal is so enormous that she could distribute it to the alliance through Katsuyu on a massive scale. Afterwards, she powered several of Obito Uchiha's Kamui techniques in order to move between Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's various dimensions, and still had leftover chakra in her seal to spare.

Sasuke Uchiha

Sasuke Uchiha (Uchiha Sasuke) is one of the last surviving members of Konohagakure's Uchiha clan. He became a shinobi so he could someday grow strong enough to exact revenge against his older brother, Itachi, who had slaughtered their entire clan. Initially a member of Konoha's Team 7, Sasuke defected from the village to obtain power from Orochimaru, and later also joined Akatsuki, becoming an international criminal in the process. He later proves instrumental in ending the Fourth Shinobi World War, redeeming himself and his family name.

After receiving the Six Paths Chakra, Sasuke's left Sharingan evolved into a Rinnegan. Unlike Hagoromo's, his Rinnegan has a secondary state that has six tomoe around the eye, representing its full power. When drained of its power, Sasuke's Rinnegan cannot access this state for an extended period of time, until after its restoration, likewise affecting his Mangekyō Sharingan. As a true wielder, Sasuke can deactivate his Rinnegan at will, though, this was only after two years of mastering it. As a result, using the Rinnegan repeatedly seems to require Sasuke to close his eye to recharge (or at least speed it up), although it doesn't seem to exhaust him due to his massive reserves. Over-usage will begin straining him, as seen in his final battle with Naruto and it had to keep it closed for the remainder of the battle. Though his Rinnegan manifested only in one eye, its power is still on par with its dual variant.

After Sasuke returned to the village at some point, he married Sakura. He has an illegitimate daughter with Karin named Sarada, essentially beginning the Uchiha's restoration — although it's unknown if Sarada was born before or after Sasuke married Sakura. After this, he called for a meeting with all the five Kage and told them he had been doing research and found possible evidence an army of White Zetsu as well as something even worse than Kaguya may be on the way. This information was decided to be best kept from the public as they were still recovering from the Fourth Shinobi World War. Sasuke then took the liberty of tracking traces of Kaguya's chakra, being the only one that can with his Rinnegan and left the village as a top-secret mission. While walking through a forest one day, he thought he heard a sound behind him. Instinctively putting his hand to his blade, Sasuke dismissed it as his imagination and continued walking.

Sarada Uchiha

Sarada Uchiha (Uchiha Sarada) is a kunoichi from Konohagakure's Uchiha Clan as well as a descendant of the Uzumaki Clan. Sarada was born to Sasuke Uchiha and Karin, with no records kept of her birth. The truth of Sarada's parentage was only known by a select few as even the Seventh Hokage was not aware. She grew up in Konoha with just Sakura Haruno, believing her to be her biological mother. At some point, Sarada became sick and afterwards, began wearing glasses. During Sasuke's absence, Sarada questioned where her father was only to be told that he was on an important mission and questioned, if he actual cared about his family, only for Sakura to reassure her that he does.

Sarada seems to have inherited traits from both her parents. Like Sakura, she is critical of troublemakers; she also seemed to inherit her Sakura's verbal tic, "Shannarō!" (しゃーんなろー). Like her father, she is generally aloof and reluctant to acknowledge certain people, but she's not above commending them when they truly deserve it. Sarada is also a curious child; despite finding Boruto Uzumaki annoying, she tails him around the village, observing him. She comes to the conclusion that they indeed have something in common (both of them wants to spend more time with their fathers), displaying keen insight and analytical skills. Even though she thinks Boruto is annoying, she seems to have great respect for his father sharing a father-daughter like relationship with him to the point where she dreams her relationship with her own father will be similar. At the same time, she cares very much about her father, happy to hear from Naruto how she inherited many good traits from him. When she finally met her father, he was cold and indifferent toward her, which made her weep. Despite this, she still does care for her father's well-being as seen when he shielded her from Shin Uchiha's attack. Sarada has critical thinking habits, showing a keen and analytical mind, which aids her in battle to better read an enemy's attack. Sarada has come to question the value and meaning of being a ninja since her father has been away thanks to being a ninja. Likewise, Sarada has come to doubt the validity of her parents' marriage, especially upon the discovery that one of their pictures together is, in fact, fake. When she discovered this picture actually has her father with Suigetsu Hōzuki, Jūgo and Karin whom also wears glasses like her, something neither of her parents have, her doubt increased substantially. Due to the manipulations and cover-ups involving Sasuke's absence and her own birth, Sarada has even hailed the medical-nin as "secretive" and "hiding something", even though her own mother is a medical-nin herself. When she found out that Sakura was aware of what her father was doing, she was visibly upset that her mother had kept that secret for so long. Upon discovering that Karin is her true birth mother, Sarada became angry and heartbroken at the fact that neither of her parents were present in the majority of her childhood life, while believing that she and Sakura have no relationship whatsoever. However, Naruto convinced her this wasn't the case and she realised the love between her and her mother Sakura was real after thinking back to her father and mother teaching her to walk and Sakura taking care of her when she had gotten sick.

Unlike her parents in their childhood, Sarada has good manners. She is never overconfident, not obsessed with boys, but modest and treats her classmates nicely, especially her friend Chōchō Akimichi and the son of her parents' team-member Naruto, Boruto. Due to never having met Sasuke and seeing all her peers enjoying time with their fathers, Sarada has craved for her father's affection her entire life and was able to awaken her Sharingan due to her anticipation of meeting him. Despite being angry with Sakura and Sasuke when finding out the apparent true identity of her biological mother, Sarada, due to not being victimised by the Curse of Hatred remained relatively reasonable when compared to Sasuke when he was younger. After her interaction with Naruto, Sarada made it her goal to become Hokage. Sarada has a fair complexion, straight shoulder-length onyx hair that parts on the left side of her forehead while tucked behind her ear on the right and frames her face on the left. She inherited Sasuke's eye and hair colour. Like her birth mother, Sarada wears a pair of red glasses. Her eyes shape is similar to Sakura's as is the shape of her face. Her casual outfit consists of a pink jacket over a yellow vest, underneath a high-collared white shirt with a red tie and black open-toed boots. On missions, Sarada wears a red sleeveless qipao shirt, similar to Sakura's second outfit, (the only difference is the Uchiha crest on the back), a pair of light-coloured shorts and long purple arm warmers, similar to her father's first outfit. She also wears a Konoha forehead protector around her forehead with her bangs hanging over it.

Boruto Uzumaki

Boruto Uzumaki (Uzumaki Boruto) is a shinobi from Konohagakure's Uzumaki Clan, as well as a descendant of the Hyūga Clan. Boruto is the first child of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyūga. On one peaceful morning, during the winter time in Konoha, he and his younger sister Himawari were seen embracing their father and starting a snowball fight, along with their mother. Before Naruto became Hokage and thus had more time on his hands, Boruto was much more well-behaved, genuinely excited when his father showed up and got to spend time with him. Much like his father in his youth, Boruto is hyperactive and bold.

After Naruto became Hokage, he appears to exhibit an inclination towards pranks. Like his father, his reason for pulling pranks is also to seek attention; in this case, it's from his father, as Naruto's role as Hokage detracted from the time they spent together. This was made apparent when Naruto caught him defacing the Hokage Monument and after being punished by Naruto, he asked him to help him clean up the mess. Like his father and late paternal grandmother, Boruto also inherited a verbal tic: "dattebasa" (だってばさ). Despite his disrespectful and bratty attitude towards his father, Boruto has shown some signs of being well-mannered and polite, thanking Sarada for not telling Naruto where he is, but not to the point of being formal like his mother. He is also shown to be considerate of other people's feelings, to which he also was shown to be perceptive, quickly realising other people's true intentions from the look in their eyes. Boruto bears a striking resemblance to his father, having his bright blonde hair and blue eyes. He has three long bangs on the front and the rest of his hair flares out on the sides and back, and has an ahoge (アホ毛, Literally meaning: foolish hair) on the top of his head, which resembles the stem of a leaf. From his mother, he inherited the shape of both her eyes and face. He has two whisker markings on each cheek, which was influenced by Kurama's chakra, as a jinchūriki's offspring. In The Last: Naruto the Movie, Boruto wore a black tracksuit, reminiscent of the orange one Naruto wore for most of the series, that had a red fire symbol on the left breast matching an insignia his mother once wore on her jacket in Part I, and red stripes along the sides of his pants. On Boruto's jacket behind, there was a symbol that resembles a bolt. Worn with this outfit were a pair of flat white sandals. In the epilogue, Boruto wears a black tracksuit with red lining and red stripes along the bottom and sleeve cuffs. Beneath the jacket, which he wears open and cuts off at the midriff, he wears a plain white T-shirt and a bolt tied to a string around his neck, referencing his name. He also wears black shinobi sandals. In subsequent illustrations, Boruto has worn a V-neck-style shirt and similarly-shaped white sandals. By the time of Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, he wears a longer tracksuit jacket and has switched out for the style of standard high-top shinobi sandals. In Boruto: Naruto the Movie, he wears with this a black Konoha forehead protector and black open-toed boots. He later inherits the original orange tracksuit that Naruto wore during Part I, wearing it in the same fashion as his black tracksuit, with the jacket being open. Along with Naruto's tracksuit, he is seen wearing Sasuke's scratched forehead protector.

Unlike his late-blooming parents, Boruto was recognised as a prodigy by the time he became a shinobi. Before graduating from the Academy, he showed noticeably sharp battle instincts and a degree of taijutsu and ninjutsu proficiency while playing with his father. As a descendant of the Uzumaki Clan, Boruto is blessed with an especially strong life-force. This grants him tremendous stamina, immense reserves of chakra, great healing powers, strong vitality, and extreme longevity. Boruto has shown the ability to use high ranking ninjutsu, despite being only a genin. He's shown proficiency in using the Shadow Clone Technique, which he is able to skilfully switch places between himself and the clone. Boruto can use his grandfather's Rasengan technique, although when using it, its size is smaller than the standard size like his father in his childhood. Boruto has shown to possess the ability to use Lightning Release nature transformation, learning Chidori under Sasuke Uchiha's tutelage.

Shin Junior Uchiha

Shin Uchiha (Uchiha Shin) is the name given to the various individual genetic clones of the original Shin Uchiha, who treats them both as sons and organ donors. The original Shin Uchiha was one of Orochimaru's experimental test subjects and followers, and possessed a unique genetic makeup that allowed for tissue and organ transplantation with absolutely no chance of rejection. Together they performed various experiments, cultivating clones from Shin's teeth and nerves in order to uncover the secrets of genetics. It is from these experiments that Shin Uchiha's clones originated. The majority of Shin's surviving clones follow the original, treating him as their father, but a sole clone remains in Orochimaru's hidden laboratory.

Each of Shin's clones has a unique personality, though they rarely speak and express few outward emotions. When they do speak, they tend to talk in a stilted, monosyllabic manner. Their individuals motivation are unclear and likely dictated by their "father", as they express a strong desire to avenge Itachi Uchiha by killing Sasuke, declaring that Itachi's murder was unforgivable. The Shin who initially attacked Sasuke Uchiha was willing to recklessly kill people he did not deem "necessary" for his cause. The clones are also revealed to be more independent than realised, showing a very manipulative and treacherous side when they ultimately deemed the original as weak and unnecessary, skewing him mercilessly to sever all ties to him, and having created their own clones without his knowledge. Shin Uchiha's clones all share identical physical features, appearing as eerie-looking young men. They have pale-white skin and likewise coloured hair that are slicked back and tapered to a point. They lack eyebrows and wear perpetually wide-eyed expressions with dark rings around their eyes, giving them a somewhat-deranged appearance. Each clone wears a white high-collared kimono shirt with an Uchiha emblem emblazoned on the back and a wide, dark blue obi wrapped around their waist. They wear dark blue arm-guards that cover their forearms, dark blue pants, and a pair of dark blue open-toed boots with distinct zig-zag treads. The clone who first confronted Sasuke donned a dark, hooded cloak when initiating his ambush. Some clones were not created properly as they had abnormal size and body mass, which made them look thin, chubby and giant compared to properly formed clones.

The Clone-Shins are shown to be vary capable in battle. During the first scuffle against Sasuke Uchiha, one clone was able to force the mighty Uchiha to draw his sword to counter its attacks. Against Sarada Uchiha and Chōchō Akimichi, two kunoichi of similar physical age, a clone quickly overpowered them, saved only by the timely arrival of the Seventh Hokage. Sharing the same unique genetic make-up as their donor/father, the clones are able to completely integrate any new genetic material without a chance of rejection. In battle, the clones displayed impressive levels of speed and agility, able to evade a surprise attack and quickly counter. Even Naruto, the Seventh Hokage, was impressed by the clone's evasiveness. The clones are very enduring, able to survive the blunt of a massive fireball attack. Despite the clones each seemingly having their respective Sharingan active constantly, they show no signs of fatigue from their continued use, implying they have very high reserves of chakra. The clones have shown a wide range of skills. In stealth, one clone performed the Body Flicker Technique while employing leaves to cover his escape. They are able to perform scroll sealing for storage of the weaponry, to which they displayed proficient skills at wielding a variety of weapons. While using a kusarigama or giant shuriken attached to a chain, the clones are able to strike with a two-pronged attack maneuvers. Also with the chain, they can deflect enemy attacks or disturb his enemies' balance. Each Shin possesses a pair of fully matured Sharingan. Because of each clone's highly adaptive bodies, they are able to make regular use of the dōjutsu unhinded, unlike wielders who are not Uchiha. These eyes granting them heightened perception and the ability to perform various complicated attack patterns such as striking an opponent's blind side with shuriken. Shin's clones have also awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan through unspecified means. Being genetically identical to their father, it shares the same shape and abilities as the original. Its shape is a large circle around the pupil with three points spaced out. With it, Shin's clones are able to telekinetically manipulate weapons after marking them with a special seal. The first clone encountered used this ability to disassemble his giant chain-shuriken to create a multi-directional surprise attack against Naruto, Chōchō, and Sarada. Other clones are shown to wield large, three-pronged kunai.

Shin Uchiha

Shin Uchiha (Uchiha Shin) is a former test subject of Orochimaru. After developing a fixation on the Uchiha clan and more specifically, Itachi Uchiha, Shin took the Uchiha name for himself and left Orochimaru, taking his sons with him. Believing that peace was detrimental to human evolution, Shin began a plot to revive the Akatsuki so that the ensuing conflict would be a catalyst to further human evolution. Shin was one of Orochimaru's experimental test subjects and followers, and possessed a unique genetic make-up that allowed for tissue and organ transplantation with absolutely no chance of rejection.

Together they performed various experiments, cultivating clones from Shin's teeth and nerves in order to uncover many secrets of genetics. At some point Shin became intrigued by the Uchiha clan and Itachi Uchiha. As such, he began to imitate the Uchiha, adopting their surname and customary clothing, as well as numerous Sharingan which have been implanted all over his body. His Sharingan-embedded right arm was harvested by Orochimaru and transplanted to Danzō Shimura along with some of Hashirama Senju's cells. Some time after this, Shin left Orochimaru's side and took most of his clones with him. Shin is a pragmatic, scientific individual who adheres strongly to the evolutionary principles of survival of the fittest and natural selection, believing that living organisms are slaves to their genes and exist only to survive by passing on their strongest traits to the next generation. As such, he sees conflict as a necessary component of mankind's evolution and seeks to revive Akatsuki and bring an end to the peace of the world, which he believes will cause the human species to stagnate and ultimately become extinct. Though he refers to his clones as sons, he appears to have no fatherly affection for them, instead viewing them as extensions of his own life who should be sacrificed for the sake of his continued survival. He demonstrates this lack of emotion by using one of his clones as a human shield, then harvesting the clone's vital organs to surgically replace his own, killing the clone in the process. Though typically logical, Shin has a peculiar fascination with Itachi Uchiha and has adopted the Uchiha surname as his own, going so far as to outfit his clones in the clan's customary attire. He has come to loathe Sasuke Uchiha for murdering Itachi and bringing shame to the Uchiha clan. He wishes to avenge Itachi by killing Sasuke, and wants to capture Sasuke's daughter, Sarada Uchiha, to use her in pursuit of his goals.

Shin's abilities are still largely unknown. However, given that he was experimented on by Orochimaru and survived, it stands to reason he is very powerful. To which, he was shown calmly engaging the highly skilled Sasuke Uchiha in battle, able to use multiple misdirections to nearly defeat the Uchiha, showing a very cunning mind as well. He seemingly only failed to defeat Sasuke thanks to a surprise attack from Sakura Haruno, who he later also nearly defeat shortly after recovering before Sasuke saved her as well. Shin possesses multiple fully-matured Sharingan implanted about his body. Because of his highly-adaptive body, Shin is able to maintain his Sharingan unhindered unlike most people not of Uchiha blood. At the same time, as all the Sharingan appear to be activated constantly, it can be assumed he has immense levels of chakra. With these eyes, he has heightened perception and is able to perform various complicated attack patterns. He also owns a mysterious creature with a Sharingan, and is able to share vision with it and others and can use his dōjutsu techniques through it as a medium. With his right eye, Shin is capable of using space–time ninjutsu, which he can create a barrier that instantaneously teleports himself and anything else within it to a location. Depending on the situation, he can manipulate the size and shape of the space affected. Through unknown means, Shin was able to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan. Its pattern is a large circle around the pupil with three points. The same Mangekyō pattern is also reflected on all his Sharingan. His proficiency with this dōjutsu allows him to use his Mangekyō techniques without activating his Mangekyō form. Also with his right eye, he was shown to be able to telekinetically manipulate any tool he brands with a special mark. With it, Shin has shown very refined control, able to manipulate multiple weapons at once to attack his opponent from various angles and likewise able to perform surgery on himself. He is likewise able to manipulate his multiple targets together in unison for form a myriad of shapes for further versatility in battle. As a medical-nin, Shin displays advanced knowledge of human anatomy and surgery. Favouring scalpels in combat, Shin commonly uses his Mangekyō Sharingan's technique to wield the tools telekinetically, expertly striking key points on the body to inhibit movement. He can also use the dōjutsu to perform surgery on himself, allowing him to replace his injured vital organs by transplanting healthy organs from his own clones. Shin possesses a unique genetic make-up that will completely accept any new genetic material, be it tissue, organs or entire limbs, without a chance of rejection, allowing him to fully integrate it into his being. This same trait also made much easier for permanent and separate entity clones of him to be created. Shin is also shown to have great endurance. Despite being severely wounded by Sakura's chakra-enforced punches, he was able to survive long enough be treated with open surgery, which he performed himself while casually talking to the captured Sakura.

Issho

Issho, more commonly known by his alias, Fujitora, is an admiral in the Marines. He was first mentioned by Sakazuki when the Fleet Admiral was discussing plans to deal with Luffy and Law. Due to his mission and actions he can be regarded as the secondary antagonist of the Dressrosa Arc. Fujitora is a blind man with only the whites of his eyes showing, though he is usually seen with both eyes closed. He has an X-shaped scar centered on the left side of his forehead that stretches over both eyes. He has short dark hair, a mustache, and a beard. He seems to be very tall, a trait shared with other admirals. Fujitora sports the standard marine coat with his personal clothes underneath. While previous admirals and high-ranked marines wear the conventional suit and tie underneath their marine coats, Fujitora wears a light-purple yukata held up with a dark purple belt, all underneath a purple cloak, matching the color in his alias. Fujitora wields a shikomizue (a Japanese swordstick) that doubles as a cane for his blindness, and also wears geta sandals. He has white bandages wrapped around both of his forearms, with handguards on both hands.

Fujitora appears to be a reasonable man that is very trusting of people, as seen when he actually believed that he kept losing at roulette purely by chance. The moment he was told that he was being cheated and that the swindlers tried to kill Luffy for revealing their trickery, he retaliated mercilessly and stated that being blind spared him from seeing the corruption in the world. He is also responsible about the collateral damage he inflicts, as shown when he compensated the shop owner for the damages he caused when creating a massive crater to attack the swindlers. He appears to follow his own ideals instead of adhering to the Marines' doctrine of Absolute Justice. However, he still follows the law, as he chose to spare Caesar Clown simply because he was a subordinate working under Donquixote Doflamingo, although he did understand that Doflamingo could be up to something and desired to investigate further into the problem if it were not for the law and lack of solid evidence. He is rather modest, as he barely commented on the remarks Doflamingo and Law made on his formidable reputation and display of power. During the first time he was seen in battle, Fujitora was shown to be willing to use excessive force as he summoned down a meteor to attack both Law and Doflamingo. Doflamingo even commented that he does not hold back. He exhibits concern about the safety of innocent civilians more than his desire to arrest and punish criminals, unlike his superior Sakazuki. Despite his responsible personality, he seems to enjoy gambling and is not entirely serious with his duties, as he was playing roulette even when he was supposed to be apprehending Luffy and Law. However gambling seems to be a big theme in his personality, as he often makes gambling references and analogies as part of his conversations. On top of this, he makes many very big gambles during combat, even sometimes gambling the safety of others. When he brought a meteor down on Green Bit, he was not completely sure that Trafalgar Law and Doflamingo were powerful enough to prevent the island from being obliterated. He launched both his battleship and a meteor at the Straw Hats, not accounting for Law and his abilities. He brought down yet another meteor on Dressrosa itself while the bird cage was active, not understanding that the cage would actually split the meteor into pieces, thus widening the impact of the blast and endangering more people. Another trait Fujitora displayed is his ability to remain calm. Even when one of his own meteorites was sent flying back at his ship, he was calmly slurping a bowl of noodles acting as if nothing was happening while his whole crew was in panic and even commenting on his choice of timing for a meal.

As an admiral, Fujitora has command over the many thousands of soldiers ranked lower than him, his status being second highest within the entire Marine organization, just below Fleet Admiral Sakazuki. He also has the power to initiate a Buster Call on any island he deems to be a threat, as well as grant lower ranking World Government agents such a privilege. As an Admiral, he has the authority to revoke a Shichibukai's title. In terms of combat strength, Fujitora is considered to be one of the strongest individuals within the entire World Government structure, as an admiral is considered the "Greatest Military Power". Fujitora is at least strong enough to have Sakazuki's confidence in dealing with both Monkey D. Luffy, a notorious pirate, and Trafalgar Law, a rogue Shichibukai. Despite being blind, Fujitora has proven to be able to handle himself extremely well in battle, as he was still able to perfectly time his defense against the meteor he summoned and deflected it without a problem. According to Doflamingo, Fujitora and Ryokugyu are two very formidable and venerable beasts within the Marines. His strength was also admired by Monkey D. Luffy, when the latter watched his fight against Doflamingo's thugs. When Doflamingo tried to attack him, he showed absolutely no concern and easily blocked his attack. Fujitora is also shown to be very good at gambling, having won many games in roulette before the owners started to cheat him out of his money. In roulette, he seems to be relying on his sharp hearing and sense of gravity to predict the outcome. The only reason he was losing was because he was being cheated by hustlers who were taking advantage of his blindness. In the anime, he has great reflexes, as he was able to catch and stop Doflamingo's Parasite string before it could reach him while casually sitting down. When exacting retribution on Doflamingo's thugs that were cheating him because of his blindness, he used an unknown Devil Fruit power. It grants him the ability to manipulate gravity around a chosen location at will by sending gravitational forces. He first used this power to create a gravitational force of such intensity that it caused the swindlers to be pressed heavily against the floor, which caved in to create a gigantic hole as a result. Later, he used immense amounts of gravity to accomplish other feats, such as summoning a meteor to fall from the sky. After the battle against Law with Doflamingo, he used his power to increase gravity on one point to pin Law to the ground and immobilize him. He can also reverse gravity to create a circular barrier around him which repels attacks. As a testament of his power, he stated that the meteor he brought down was merely to test his strength. He usually unsheathes his sword in order to create the gravitational forces. He is also able to use his powers to levitate and move materials such as a battleship or a rock, similar to Shiki's Fuwa Fuwa no Mi, and use the rock as a platform to stand on to levitate; though unlike Shiki's power, Fujitora's is not hindered by the necessity of having to touch the target beforehand, and he can affect both living and inanimate objects. Gravito, literally meaning Gravity Sword: Fujitora's signature technique. Fujitora can manipulate the gravitational forces by channeling his Devil Fruit's ability through his sword. He can send the gravitational forces by swinging or just simply moving his sword. The direction of the gravitational forces can be upwards, downwards, or sideways. He has been shown to only use one at a time so far. It was first used against the thugs of the Donquixote Pirates by manipulating gravtitational forces downwards. However, this technique wasn't named until his fight against Sabo. Moko, literally meaning Ferocious Tiger: Fujitora generates immense levels of gravitational forces around him that push out horizontally, which knock away anything including his enemies, buildings, trees, and whatever else that is unfortunate enough to be in the attack radius. The force is so strong that it easily destroys the ground and buildings, reducing them to rubble. While using this technique, the gravitional force generates black lightning around Fujitora. The name of this technique is a reference to Issho's epithet, Fujitora, which means wisteria tiger. It was first used against Sabo in Dressrosa. It was stated that all Marines ranked vice admiral or higher possess Haki, so Fujitora can also use the ability. Fujitora was able to clash head on physically with Sabo, a Logia-class Devil Fruit user, implying he was using Busoshoku Haki during the battle. He later proved he is capable of using it when he did so to reinforce his sword in order to staunch the Birdcage.
